Always be strong! When I’m going through a rough patch in life, music is my favorite way to keep me mentally strong and focused — and this week’s tracks are perfect for that end.
Erick Morillo first reached fame in 1993 with the mega-hit “I Like to Move It” for Reel to Reel (featured on Hot Six #9). Even though Morillo has been one of the leading international DJs with residencies at Ministry of Sound, Pacha, and Marquee, no other track reached the level of “I Like to Move It”. Morillo since has launched the record label “Subliminal Records”, which has housed DJs like Bob Sinclar, Jose Nunez and Eddie Thoneick.
Thoneick and Morillo collaborated with soulful singer Shawnee Taylor to bring “Stronger” — which was shot in the beautiful Balearic island of Ibiza and Pacha nightclub.
