Why do I love this song and each and every remake of it??!?!?!? Avicii, you’ve done it again! For those who have never listened to a lick of dance music ever in their whole life ever, recognize that the original is an all time classic.
1. Swede Dreams – Avicii
Best. Video. Ever. Tennis, French Open, comedy, two DJs competing, one of them: Bob Sinclar. What more could you want? French DJs, unite. Martin Solveig, welcome to The Hot Six.
2. Hello – Martin Solveig & Dragonette
Bold Latin flavors make The Hot Six happy. Nicola, 75 Brazil Street was fantastic. This is great, too. Naksi and Brunner — the duo behind Stereo Palma — great bloggy personal website with tons of content and music. Yasi june, merci for the recommendations.
3. Andale (Nicola Fasano & Steve Forest South Beach Remix) – Stereo Palma
My good friend just came back from Brazil and told me Florianopolis is the Ibiza of Brazil. With tracks that groove like this, I can see why I might, I don’t know, want to take a trip down to the southern hemisphere in the next three years (World Cup) or so.
4. Para Sambar – Tiko’s Groove ft. Mendonça do Rio
I’m a little behind on this track, I know. But Riva Starr had such a massive 2010, that I feel remiss not having included him on a Hot Six thus far. Where all my Italian dance music fans at? Stefano Miele a.k.a. Riva Starr è da Napoli. But, he now lives in London.
5. Splendido – Riva Starr ft. Rettore
I know. The video with the kid on Chelsea Lately. It’s addictive. I may have watched it a few hundred times. Damn you, Keenan Cahill! Seriously, though, 18 million views? Fitty knows what’s up. Thanks to my OC peeps for making me appreciate this track apart from that(!) video.
6. Down On Me – Jeremih ft. 50 Cent
As always, let me know what songs you’re listening to.
Keep it hot, and keep dancin’!
Breakstone
