Last night, Papa C, Big Jon, Dirty Mau5, Chef Juan, and I rocked out to Thomas Gold at Bijou. It was a great night of partying and a crazy crowd for a Tuesday night. We were at Bijou on their signature Saturday night two weeks ago, and this crowd was far more hype on a Tuesday night. Thomas Gold was excellent. The music selection was varied, the mixes naturally flawless, and the song selection was good. There were a few dips in the crowd’s energy, as is to be expected, on some level. But, plenty of high water marks, as well. The crowd, aided by large glowsticks, was banging away for the most part. Good energy and good night. Incidentally, Thomas Gold wasn’t the only big name in town. Above and Beyond was at Royale last night and according to the attendees who we met at the afterhours diner for some early morning breakfast, A&B killed it.
Also, want to give a shout out to a new blog I stumbled across this week, EDM Boston. They are doing nice things over there, and you should check them out. Boston needs something like this.
